SUB BASE PLATYPUS OPENS TO THE PUBLIC AFTER 150 YEARS

Congratulations to the Harbour Trust, the Federal Government body that manages and protects some of Sydney’s most amazing foreshore sites.

This month, the Trust officially opened the first stage of its latest acquisition, the former submarine base HMAS Platypus, now known as Sub Base Platypus.

The site is a former gasworks and torpedo factory that was closed to the public for over 150 years.

Cannings helped the Harbour Trust promote the opening of this first stage of what will no doubt become a special harbourside destination for Sydneysiders.
