12 Sep LYNAS ATTENDS THE 25TH CLSA INVESTORS’ FORUM IN HONG KONG
Cannings Managing Director Renée Bertuch was delighted to attend the CLSA Investors’ Forum in Hong Kong with Amanda Lacaze, CEO of Lynas Corporation Ltd, who represented one of 28 Australian listed companies showcasing the Australian investment outlook to global investors, representing almost 40% of the XJO by market capitalisation.
The 25th CLSA Investors’ Forum showcased 330 of Asia’s leading companies with 2,640 delegates from 42 countries, including 1,600 global institutional investors- the largest forum to date.
The five-day Forum provided a platform for high-level debate and engagement on issues that impact global markets and investment returns, from economics, finance and geopolitics, to health, society, science, technology and innovation.
Cannings has provided advice and support to Lynas in investor relations, media relations, stakeholder engagement and issues management since September 2014. Over the years we have worked with CEO Amanda Lacaze as she successfully undertook one of Australia’s largest corporate turnarounds, which has included renegotiating debt facilities, resizing the cost base, developing its Malaysian processing facility into a stable and secure operating platform, and re-orienting the company to focus on customer revenue growth.
Since then, Lynas has re-entered the S&P/ASX 200 with a market capitalisation of over A$1.2 billion based on significant operational, cost and balance sheet improvements delivering record cash flow, sales and production rates.
In late 2017, Amanda was named one of the Australian Financial Review’s Business People of the Year and featured in The Australian newspaper’s ‘The Deal’ as a business woman to watch in 2018. In 2018, Amanda was recognized as CEO of the Year in the MiningNews.Net Awards.
