WOMEN EXCEL IN STOCK TRADING
Women are better at picking stocks than men.
A study by financial technology company FinClear of more than 550,000 wealthy Australian traders found that women outperformed men in high-conviction strategies. Last financial year, women’s average return was 8.3 per cent, whereas men only earned 0.73 per cent – which for an average portfolio equated to an upside of $75,000.
FinClear chief executive David Ferrall said women’s outperformance was due to “careful stock selection and timing” while “overtrading” was one of the likely factors contributing to the underperformance of men.

The Washington Post spoke with an etiquette expert to get some tips to help navigate phone calls and texts in 2023. These included: text before calling; don’t use the speakerphone in public; don’t leave voicemails; and “emotions are for voice, facts are for text”.
