Netia Dillon

Netia is a corporate communications strategist with three years’ experience across ASX-listed companies and agencies. Netia is particularly interested in the power of the corporate sector in driving positive social impact and helping people and communities.

Before joining Cannings, Netia gained experience working in the corporate communications and corporate affairs team at an ASX-listed funds management company, where she focused on reinvesting funds into youth-focused charities. Here, she played a leading role in executing business critical communication assets and was exposed to the fundamentals of corporate and financial communications, stakeholder engagement, social media, and investor relations.

Before this, Netia worked at a boutique PR and communications agency focusing on consumer, food, beverage, entertainment, and lifestyle brands. She also worked in a not-for-profit organisation’s communications team, creating valuable communications assets that raised awareness and ultimately told a story.

Netia graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Media (PR & Advertising) and Bachelor of International Studies. Her academic background spans Australia and Europe, having spent a year abroad at the University of Copenhagen. In both regions, Netia specialised in the study of media, international relations, politics, and policy, learning about global, societal, and economic issues, and what makes Australia a unique country.
