Simone Ziaziaris

Simone is a former journalist and content specialist who has worked for international humanitarian and development organisations.

Simone started her career at Australia’s national newswire Australian Associated Press (AAP) where she worked across several desks including breaking news, entertainment and finance. She then spent two and a half years working in digital content for UNICEF Australia with a focus on managing the organisation’s blog, reports, social media and donor magazine before moving to Australia for UNHCR.

More recently, Simone worked as a Content Manager at The Squiz where she co-hosted and edited the daily podcast, contributed to the daily newsletter and scripted the weekly Squiz Shortcuts podcast. She has also studied part-time, recently completing her Masters in Development Studies from the University of Sydney.

Simone also holds a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) from Charles Sturt University.
